Meetings
are held on the first Tuesday of every month at the Cathedral of Saint Peter
the Apostle in downtown Jackson.
A meal is served at 6:30pm and the meeting at 7:30pm.
Council
chartered Feb. 28, 1904 with 32 members. W.A. McQuaid was the first Grand
Knight. Fr. C.A. Oliver was the first Chaplain and relied on the Knights to
provide manpower and conduct parish and school fundraising drives.
Originally, a community wide Council, Council 848 now is closely associated
with Cathedral of St. Peter, St. Mary, St. Richard and Holy Family.
